Throwback Thursday- Music Video Edition

hello

It’s been such a long time (years, in fact) since I worked on a video-related project, but it feels like just yesterday that I was experimenting with sound and video, and having lots of fun with it!

Where does time go??

I would like to share with you one of the first music videos that I helped create.

It’s Throwback Thursday!!

1 . Margo May “Time to Wait”

In 2013 I had the opportunity to work with singer/songwriter/all around cool person Margo May, mixing and producing a selection of her music on a collaborative album we called “1000000 Tiny Pieces“.

This video totally personifies what Margo May and I were doing artistically at the time. 1000000 Tiny Pieces is a very dreamy pop album, so my goal when I edited this video was to elaborate on that theme.

Not too long after we released the album, the song “Time to Wait” was featured as background music in a Hair Braiding Tutorial for the clothing brand Free People.

This really happened!! Unbelievable!

The free people video is beautiful and carries the “dreamy” theme into festival princess territory.

Throwback thursday has inspired me to rethink video as a platform for new work. I would love to make more videos in the future! Catch me on Vine!
